It’s me, J.D., your friendly (and oftentimes overly energetic) creative writer. Welcome to my website where I share my most favorite creative endeavors!
I genuinely love what I do, and there is nothing on this earth I would rather be doing, so brace yourself for an enthusiastic and fearless collaborator – no matter what the project is.

What I do
In the simplest terms, I create. I specialize in script and copywriting (clocking 8 years at a major marketing/advertising agency, see clients below). In “copyland,” I’ve worked on everything from 360 campaigns and promotions that included TV, Radio, e-blasts, stunts, activations, content series, product placement, talent, partnerships, etc. – to an insanely ambitious “Santa Cam” (see my work page for details).
In recent years, I’ve branched out into my true passion of entertainment writing. While living in New York City, I studied Sketch and Improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade. I took part in a monthly character sketch show in the village. I wrote two completely original art shows in partnership with Daragh, a phenomenal Dallas-based painter. And, in March 2021, I was admitted into the Inc. Program with Hollywood producing team Sugar Lyn Beard and Lauren Coggiola, and I’ve been working on my first TV series treatment and pilot with them ever since.
